In Mesopotamia, the people-scorpion is presented as the guardian monster for the gates of dead people’s world, under the earth. Such a ritual concept and religious function had been adapted by the mythology of ancient Egypt as well. According to the results of recent archaeological excavations in Jiroft, however, the southwest of Iran is speculated as the geographical homeland of this motif. So, whether Iranian plateau or Mesopotamia, where is the cultural origin of such motif? In spite of the scorpion’s motif in the chalcolithic Age of Iran, The basic hypothesis proposed by the authors explains that the idea on the progression of a naturalist scorpion’s motif unto a hybrid- mythological people- scorpion one in the art of Bronze Age has not yet been provided enough archaeological evidences. By this essay, the authors have an art historical method oriented by archaeology. This method just studies motifs of both scorpion and people-scorpion in artifacts recovered from archaeological contexts in both prehistoric Iran and Mesopotamia. These artifacts are grouped into these regions. The essay concludes that people-scorpion’s motif in southeast Iran was originated in the native Bronze Age believes and culture of the Halil Rood basin in the dawn of urbanization. So, in addition to no causative relations between such motif and arid climates in Iran, there is no causation concerning the Chalcolithic Age motif of scorpion and the Bronze Age people-scorpion.    }, keywords = {People-scorpion’s motif,scorpion’s motif,Bronze Age,Iranian plateau,Mesopotamia}, title_fa = {بررسی منشاء نقشمایه‌ی عقرب- انسان در هنر عصر مفرغ فلات ایران}, abstract_fa = {نقشمایهی ترکیبی و افسانهای عقرب- انسان، به دو صورت عقرب- مرد و عقرب- زن، بر اساس شواهد باستانشناختی، در افق فرهنگهای عصر مفرغ فلات ایران تا کنون صرفاً از محوطههای باستانی ناحیهی جیرفت در حوزهی هلیل رود کشف و گزارش شده است. در بینالنهرین باستان عقرب- انسان هیولایی است که از دروازههای جهان زیرین محافظت میکند؛ که همین مفهوم و کارکرد مذهبی به اساطیر مصر باستان هم راه یافته است. اما با توجه به کاوشهای باستانشناختی در جیرفت که منشاء جغرافیایی نقشمایهی عقرب- انسان را جنوب شرقی فلات ایران معرفی کرده است، این سئوال مطرح میشود که آیا این نقشمایه برآمده از فرهنگ پیش از تاریخی فلات ایران است یا بینالنهرین؟ فرضیهی نوشتار حاضر این است که هر چند نقشمایهی عقرب- انسان در فرهنگ و باورهای عصر مفرغ جنوب شرقی ایران اصالت داشته است، اما ایدهی سیر تحول آن از یک نقشمایهی طبیعتگرایانهی عقرب در عصر مس- سنگی به یک نقشمایهی ترکیبی و افسانهای عقرب- انسان در عصر مفرغ هنوز مبتنی بر شواهد کافی نیست. روششناسی این نوشتار اصالتاً یک روش تاریخ هنری با رویکرد باستانشناختی است که صرفاً به آثار هنری و یا صنایع دستی دارای نقش عقرب و یا عقرب- انسانهایی که از بافتارهای اصیل باستانشناختی دوران پیش از مفرغ فلات ایران و بینالنهرین گزارش شدهاند، تأکید کرده و به رابطهی نقشمایه با جغرافیا و اقلیم و بستر باستانشناختی توجه میکند. آثار دارای این نقشمایه به دو گروه اصلی فلات ایران و بینالنهرین تقسیم میشوند. نتیجهی نوشتار حاضر این است که نقشمایهی عقرب- انسان در جنوب شرقی فلات ایران برآمده از باورها و فرهنگ مردمان عصر مفرغ همان حوزهی هلیل رود در آستانهی شهرنشینی بوده است و همچنین هیچ ارتباط علّی میان این نقشمایه و نقشمایهی عقرب بر روی آثار عصر مس- سنگی فلات ایران و یا اقلیمهای گرم و خشک الزاماً وجود ندارد.    }, keywords_fa = {نقشمایهی عقرب- انسان,نقشمایهی عقرب,عصر مفرغ,فلات ایران,بینالنهرین}, url = {https://jis.ut.ac.ir/article_36342.html}, eprint = {https://jis.ut.ac.ir/article_36342_a05a266af6d647a734cf1eb41e536020.pdf} }
